2020 Will Mark the 7th Annual
Aberdeen Founders' Day Parade and Street Fair
The Aberdeen Founders’ Day Parade was started in 2013 by a small group of active community members that wanted to see more going on in our downtown core.
After much planning, and hard work, they pulled it off!
Now, 7 years later the Founders’ Day Parade Committee is looking forward to putting together another great parade and street fair.
The City of Aberdeen, WA was founded by Mr. Samuel Benn on May 28, 1868, when Sam and his family landed on the banks of the Lower Chehalis.
Mr. Benn’s birthday, July 2nd, is our official Founders’ Day and we celebrate it on the Saturday preceding July 2nd.
Join us the Saturday prior to Independence Day each year to celebrate our City, its rich history and brilliant future.
If you would like to be in the Parade then please go to our Parade Entry Application page.
After the parade we will have a street fair with vendors from our area and abroad, music, food, fun activities, prizes, and more!
Last year we had one of the 3 largest bounce houses in the state, provided by Bounce About NW, and we are planning on bringing it back this year as well.
Be sure to pick up a passport, get it filled out, and return it to the Founders Day booth to be entered into our raffle. We will be calling out prizes every 15 minutes and you must be present to win!
If you would like to be a Vendor please apply using our Vendor Application.
Our annual parade cannot function without the effort of our fantastic volunteers!
We can always use a hand before the parade with processing parade and vendor applications, delivering flyers and posters, and so much more.
On parade day the more hands we have available the smoother things go to get our parade entries lined up, vendors in their spots, and getting the crowd excited!
If you are interested in volunteering for the Parade and/or Street Fair please fill out our volunteer request form.
